Nature

This is place where I will be writing about all animals and plants I've met and love.

As you can see, I am not afraid of any animal or anything that crawls. My sister is afraid of these, but I love all bugs even the ones that people say are. This is an awesome slug that was living in my back yard! Here are some facts about slugs:

-Slugs have green blood!
-Slugs can lay 20-100 eggs several times a year
-A slug is just like a snail, only without a shell
-Slugs need to keep moist because they used to live in the ocean
-A cubic metre of garden contains about 200 slugs
-Slugs leave a scent trail, so they know how to get back home
-Did you ever notice that when you touch a slug it is nearly impossible to get the slime off? That's because it absorbs water.
-A slug's slime has fibres so that it can't slide down vertical surfaces
-A slug has over 27,000 teeth!!
